Mr. Tadesse Tilahun got his first degree from Addis Ababa University and has taken numerous business knowledge and skill development and leadership trainings worldwide. He has more than 40 years of professional experience in the petroleum industry. He held managerial and executive positions in: Shell Ethiopia Limited, National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company -Nigeria and Shell East Africa Hub as Regional Supply and Operations Manager for 11 countries in Africa.
In 2004 he established National Oil Ethiopia (NOC) with two shareholders and has been leading the company as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until now. With his leadership, he has grown NOC to become the industry leader in few years by beating all expectations.
