Sustainable Financing Workgroup

The ARDA Sustainable Financing Workgroup ensures that Members clearly define key projects associated with upgrading their refineries, terminals and associated petroleum products storage & distribution infrastructure to produce cleaner AFRI-6 (10 ppm sulphur) fuels. The Workgroup works with Members and other stakeholders to define scope, cost and schedule of key projects to upgrade their facilities and secure cost-effective financing to deliver the projects as envisioned.

The Workgroup is dedicated to:

  • Supporting the development of refinery and infrastructure projects promoting Africa’s transition to cleaner fuels
  • Facilitating active relationships with potential financial partners, including commercial banks and Development Finance Institutions
  • Developing financing strategy for Members to secure funding to upgrade refining facilities and associated storage & distribution infrastructure
  • Serving as a bridge between Members, technology & equipment providers, EPC firms, financial institutions and policy makers
