Ben Hassan Ouattara joined Puma Energy in 2022 as the Chief Operating Officer for Africa, and has since been promoted to Head of Africa and appointed as a member of Puma's Executive Committee. He also serves as the Head of the Trafigura Group Office in Johannesburg.

With a distinguished career spanning over 26 years in the downstream oil and marine industries, Ben has held key leadership positions such as Shell Marine and Aviation Manager for Africa, Managing Director Côte d’Ivoire, Chief Executive Officer of SIFAL Lubricant Blending Plant and Managing Director Ghana for Vivo Energy. Prior to his roles at Shell, Vivo Energy and Puma Energy, Ben was a Naval Commander of an Offshore Logistic Support Base and a Captain of Oil Tankers across European and African coasts.

Ben brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his extensive work across multiple African and European countries. His commitment to growing Puma Energy in Africa is evident not only in his track record of success but also in his recent relocation to Johannesburg.

Ben is a results-driven, self-motivated, and resourceful executive, he excels in developing and empowering teams to drive company profitability and efficiency.
