Mr. Esse Kouamé Bienvenu

Esse Kouamé Bienvenu is the current Director General of Hydrocarbons within the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy.

He graduated from Nangui Abrogoua University in Abidjan and obtained a Petroleum Engineering degree from the Higher School of Mines and Geology (ESMG) at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro (INP-HB).

He began his professional career in 2003 within the General Directorate of Hydrocarbons as an Engineer.

He subsequently held several positions of responsibility within the Ivorian public administration and the private sector, coordinating and managing activities in the oil and mining sectors. From November 2018, he served as Regional Director of Mines and Geology for Gbôklè, Nawa, and San Pedro.

He was awarded the “2021 Excellence Award” for the best performance in the Mining Administration.

Esse Bienvenu also holds a double MBA from IAE Paris Sorbonne Business School and the Institut Français de Gestion (IFG), as well as a Master’s degree in Business Management and Administration from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
