Mr Guy Kouo
Operations Inspector
Cameroon Petroleum Storage Company (SCDP)
A mechanical engineer by training, Guy KOUO is an Operations Inspector at the Cameroon Petroleum Storage Company (SCDP), where he also ensures compliance in operations related to Jet A-1 aviation fuel. With more than 15 years of experience in the petroleum logistics chain, he has established himself as a reference in the distribution, quality control, and safety of petroleum products.
He joined SCDP in 2009 as Head of the Yaoundé depot, a strategic site covering three regions and handling both white products (gasoline, diesel, Jet A-1, kerosene) and LPG.
In 2012, he was appointed Head of the Douala depots, the nerve center of the national system, managing more than 2 million m³ of white products and fuel oil annually, as well as 250,000 metric tons of LPG. Supplied by sea, these depots serve as the main entry point for refined petroleum products into Cameroon.
At Douala, Mr. KOUO supervised distribution to retail outlets, industrial clients, and the eight other depots in the SCDP network, using tanker trucks and rail tank cars.
In 2022, he took over as Director of Quality, Safety-Security and Environment (QSSE) and of the SCDP’s Industrial Safety Training Center. In this role, he strengthened risk management systems relating to industrial, environmental, and security issues across the entire national network.
Since 2025, he has held the position of Operations Inspector for the General Management, with a cross-functional mission of supervision, operational auditing, and technical control across all the company’s platforms.
A rigorous professional, passionate about logistics performance, compliance, and industrial safety, Guy KOUO now brings his expertise to the continental discussion on standards and best practices related to Jet A-1, in the context of modernizing Africa’s storage and distribution infrastructure.
