Sustainable Fuels

Frédéric Aertsens is Sector Group Manager for Sustainable Fuels. Sustainable Fuels is a Cefic Sector Group and represents Europe’s major fuel ether producers i.e. MTBE, ETBE, TAME and TAEE. Sustainable Fuels members are committed to supporting and disseminating state-of-the art scientific research on the benefits and impact of fuel ethers on vehicle performance, health and the environment and advocates for science-based policymaking, through active cooperation with all stakeholders: regulators, legislators, industry, NGOs and the academic community, in Europe and Africa.

Frédéric is based in Brussels and has a background in EU environmental and energy law. He started his career at the European Commission before joining the government affairs consultancy Dentons Global Advisors, in which he oversaw the mobility practice, advising clients on EU and global emissions and vehicle safety policies. Frédéric is a Belgian national and speaks French, English, German and Spanish, besides his native Dutch.”
