Mrs. Bessem Enonchong
Director, Central Africa
GLPGP
Ms. Enonchong has over 18 years of experience in the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) industry. Her passion for advocating clean, modern fuels for household cooking is deeply rooted in her personal experiences with the harmful effects of traditional fuels.
She began her career as a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager with Kosan Crisplant, where she played a pivotal role in successfully launching GLOCALGAZ in the Cameroon market in 2006. This subsidiary focused on safe residential LPG distribution. Later, she served as Business Development Executive for Gas Solutions at Kosan Crisplant (now Makeen Energy), with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa.
During her tenure with The GLOBAL LPG PARTNERSHIP (GLPGP), Ms. Enonchong co-authored and led the local process for the development of the world's second LPG Master Plan in Cameroon. She has also been instrumental in advising on and planning LPG initiatives in Rwanda, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo as an LPG Master Plan Development Expert, and also contributing to demand development programs such as microfinance.
A well-known speaker at local, regional, and international LPG conferences, Ms. Enonchong has been recognized as one of the first role models for the Women in LPG Network (WINLPG) by the World LPG Association (WLGA, formerly WLPGA).
