ADIPEC 2023 starts in Abu Dhabi this week under the theme “Decarbonising. Faster. Together.” and ARDA is particularly excited to engage positively with stakeholders across the entire energy ecosystem to foster partnerships that will ensure a just, inclusive, cleaner and more secure energy future for the African continent.
At ADIPEC 2023, in the run-up to COP28 in Dubai next month, ARDA will continue to share its truly African perspective for an African Downstream Energy Transition Roadmap that promotes cleaner fuels (LPG for Clean Cooking, energy-efficient storage & distribution infrastructure and cleaner primary energy sources for power) to reduce energy poverty across Africa while simultaneously pursuing longer-term objectives for mature, cost-effective renewable technologies.
ARDA will be engaging international players during the 5th annual ADNOC Trading Forum during a panel titled: “New Energy Markets Solutions– new flows, new products, and new markets” to explore opportunities and responsibilities as energy markets transition, highlight low-carbon solutions enabled by new market opportunities, and give insights on future focus areas for the African Downstream sector.
In addition, ARDA will be participating in the ADIPEC Leadership Roundtable session themed: “The role of energy companies in accelerating a just transition for Africa” to share perspectives on the vision for Africa when it comes to energy transition, challenges African energy companies face in delivering a low carbon future for Africa and key drivers to unlock these challenges and deliver solutions in line with a just energy transition. This important leadership session will cover solutions such as new and innovative financing models and conducive policy frameworks to promote energy sector growth while targeting Africa’s unique, long-term sustainability goals.
Stay tuned! ADIPEC 2023 promises to deliver unique, cross-sector insights this week that will shape the future of cleaner, more secure global energy ecosystems.
