ENGR. Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed SAIDU A. MOHAMMED FNSCHE, FNSE, FNAENG , FNSE, FNSCHE, is a highly accomplished professional with over 37 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in the development and commercialization of natural gas, as well as the design and construction of critical gas infrastructure.
During his illustrious career at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Engr. Mohammed played a pivotal role in the conceptualization and development of major gas infrastructure projects, including the Escravos-Lagos Gas Pipeline Expansion, OB3 Gas Pipeline, Asa North Mid-Stream Gas Processing, AjaokutaKaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline, NLNG Train 7 Project, and some Critical Upstream Gas Projects for the Domestic Market.
Engr. Mohammed has also made significant contributions to policy formulation and regulation in the gas sector. He was involved in the formulation of the Associated Gas Framework Agreement (AGFA), the development and implementation of the Gas Masterplan, the development of the Gas Network Code, and inputs to some provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
On the international front, he represented Nigeria's Minister of State for Petroleum.
Resources at several Committee of Ministers' meetings for the West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA) and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). He has delivered lectures at numerous international forums, including the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), CERA Week, GECF, and GASTECH.
Engr. Mohammed has held several key management positions, including Group Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer of Gas & Power at NNPC, Managing Director of Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited, and Managing Director of Nigerian Gas Company Limited. He has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) and N-Gas (Bermuda), and as a board member for Nigeria LNG Limited.
He is currently the Authority Chief Executive of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA.
ngr. Mohammed is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (FNSCHE) and Fellow Nigerian Academy of Engineering (FNAEng). He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Institute of Directors (IoD). His hobbies include playing golf and traveling.
