Michael Osaruyi Obaseki is the Managing Director and Head of Country for Glencore Nigeria, where he leads the company’s commercial strategy and business development across Nigeria and West Africa. He also serves on the Board of GENUK Services Nigeria.

Previously, he was Managing Director and Head of Country for BP Global West Africa, where he grew the business more than ten-fold and helped establish BP as a leading supplier of refined petroleum products to Nigeria.

Michael has over two decades of experience across global energy markets with BP, Koch Industries, and Williams Companies. He holds an MBA from Texas Southern University and previously represented Nigeria, England, and Great Britain as an international basketball player
