Armel MBATCHI TANGUI is a QSSE Engineer from the École Supérieure de Commerce et d’Industrie du Congo. He currently serves as Head of the Petroleum Products Testing Laboratory at Congolaise de Raffinage, which has been accredited by SOAC in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard since March 2025 under the reference number ESS 24006 version 00.

He has been pursuing a Quality Manager Certification for Laboratories with Afnor Compétences since June 2025.

He completed a specialized training in metrology at the Ecole Spécialisée en Qualité et Métrologie (ESQM) in Casablanca, Morocco, from September to October 2023, followed by another metrology training from November to December 2023 at CT2M (Centre Technologique Méditerranéen de Métrologie) in France.

He held the position of Chief Production Operator (Petroleum Products Manufacturing Units and Utilities) from April 2016 to January 2022.

He holds a University Diploma of Technology (DUT) in Industrial Systems Engineering obtained in 2010, and a Bachelor’s degree in Synthetic Chemistry from the Faculty of Science at Marien NGOUABI University, awarded in 2004.

He has been working at Congolaise de Raffinage since February 2007
