H.E. Gabriel Mbaga Obiang Lima is a prominent energy sector leader with over 20 years of experience in oil and gas. As a former Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea, he has played a pivotal role in transforming Africa’s energy landscape by fostering strategic partnerships between government and private interests.

Since 2024, he has served as the President of the Central African Pipeline System (CAPS) Strategic Partnership and Financing Committee, leading regional integration projects. His previous roles include serving as Governor for the World Bank and Minister of Planning. In 2023, he was President of the OPEC and GECF Council of Ministers, demonstrating his leadership in global energy policy debates.

Mr. Obiang Lima is also a consultant and strategic advisor, advocating for sustainable development and regional collaboration. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business universities in US as well as in Spain. He is fluent in Spanish and English, with basic knowledge of French.
