The Société Gabonaise de Raffinage (SOGARA) is located in Port-Gentil, Gabon.

It is a hydroskimming-type field refinery that has been in operation since 1967.

SOGARA processes approximately 1,200,000 tons per year of Rabi Light crude oil to supply the Republic of Gabon with petroleum products, including butane, unleaded gasoline 91, Jet A1 fuel, and diesel with 500 ppm sulfur content.

Since 2020, SOGARA has also been responsible for importing fuel whenever its production is insufficient to meet the domestic market demand.

As part of its strategic development, SOGARA is currently focusing on a debottlenecking project to fully meet domestic demand by the end of 2026, and on its facility expansion project which will enable the production of clean fuels (AFRI 6) by 2030 and improve profitability.

Finally, SOGARA has been a certified company since 1997.

Elle traite environ 1.200.000 tonnes par an de Rabi light pour fournir la République Gabonaise en produits Pétroliers que sont le butane, l’essence sans plomb 91, le jet A1 et du gasoil à 500 ppm de soufre.

Depuis 2020, la SOGARA a également la responsabilité d’importer des carburants lorsque sa production est insuffisante pour les besoins du marché intérieur.

Dans le cadre de son développement stratégique, la SOGARA se focalise actuellement sur un projet dégoulottage afin de saturer la demande intérieur d’ici fin 2026 et sur son projet d’extension des installations qui permettra de produire des carburants propres ( AFRI 6 ) d’ici 2030 et d’améliorer sa rentabilité. Enfin, la SOGARA est une entreprise certifiée depuis 1997.
